President visits flood-hit Alcácer do Sal
Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa traveled to Alcácer do Sal to personally assess the conditions on the ground following the recent severe weather events. The intense weather has caused extensive flooding, leaving the entire town centre completely submerged underwater.
During his visit, the President was accompanied by the Mayor of Alcácer do Sal, Clarisse Campos. He described the situation as “impressive,” highlighting the significant impact the flooding has had on the local community and infrastructure.
